The Thursday Drink Night theme last week was Spiced Rum, and the week before was Gin. So I’m putting up 2, that’s right 2, polls so everyone can finally vote twice! I know you’ve all wanted to.

Gin
Brass Tacks: 1 1/2 oz gin, 3/4 oz blanc vermouth, 1/4 oz pear or other eau de vie, 1/4 oz amaretto, 1/4 oz Galliano floated, lemon twist.
Ruby Thursday: 1 1/2 oz Hendrick’s Gin, 1/2 oz sloe gin, 1/2 oz Solerno, 1/4 oz Luxardo Bitter, 3d Peychaud’s bitters. Stir, mist with absinthe.
The Inevitable Pegu Variant: 4 pts. Gin, 1 pt. lime juice, 1/2 pt. Cointreau, 1/2 pt. passion fruit syrup, 3 dashes Regans’ Orange Bitters.
Portly Penguin: 3/4 oz gin, 3/4 oz Cherry Heering, 3/4 oz port, 3/4 oz lime juice, 1d Angostura, 1 dash orange bitters, shake, cocktail glass.
DC Cherry Blossom: Muddle 4 maraschino cherries w/ 1/2 oz lime juice, add 1 oz gin (I used Aviation), 1 oz cherry liqueur, 1d rhubarb bitter. Add spent lime shell to shaker, add ice and shake. Strain into ice filled double rocks glass and top with ginger beer.
Three Sheets: 1 1/2 oz gin, 3/4 oz green Chartreuse, 1/2 oz Benedictine, 1/4 oz Fernet Branca stir and strain.
Gincha: 2 oz Small’s Gin, 1/2 oz lemon juice, 1/2 oz honey, 1/4 oz St.Liz Allspice dram, 4 oz hot black tea, combine all but tea in heatproof glass, pour in hot tea and mix, garnish cinnamon stick.
Kyoto Lily: 1 oz sake, 1 oz gin, 3/4 oz lemon juice, 1/2 oz honey syrup, 1/2 barspoon Parfait Amour, 3 drops orange flower water, 3 drops rose flower water. Shake, strain, chilled cocktail glass. Orange twist.
Martian Sunblock: 2 oz gin, 1/2 oz Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum, 1/4 oz pimento dram, 1 oz apricot nectar, 1 oz papaya nectar, 1/2 oz lime juice, 1/2 oz simple syrup, 1d Angostura bitters.

Spiced Rum
Heaven in a Glass: 1 oz Old New Orleans (ONO) Cajun Spice Rum and 1 oz El Dorado 12 year old, stir, no ice.
Beast and Dragon, Adored: 1 1/2 oz Laphroaig, 1 1/2 oz Kraken, 1 tsp kumquat marmalade, 7d Peruvian bitters. Shake & strain.
Perseus’ Revenge: 2 oz Kraken Rum, 1/2 oz Demerara 151 (sub other 151), 1oz lime juice, 1/4 oz simple, 1/2 oz cinnamon syrup, 2d Angostura bitters, shake with ice, dump into a double old-fashioned glass.
The Ball Dunker: 2 oz spiced rum, 3/4 oz orgeat, 1/2 oz Fernet Brance, 2d Angostura bitters, 1 whole egg. Shake, strain.
Kwaigon Rum: 2 oz Kraken, 1 oz Mae de Ouro cachaça, 3/4 oz Clement Creole Shrubb, 3d Bittermen’s Xocolatl Bitters, 3/4 oz cherry brandy, stir pour into pint glass, top w/ 2 oz ginger beer.
Bombshell McGee: 1 oz each Sailor Jerry, Jägermeister, Kahlua. 2d Angostura bitters. Build in a rocks glass over ice cubes. Splash soda & stir. Garnish w/ orange twist.
Mark’s Drunken Elixir: 1 oz each ONO Cajun Spice, white wine, lemon juice, Licor 43, dash Peychaud’s.
Shore Leave in Casablanca: 1 oz Sailor Jerry, 1 oz El Dorado, 1/2 oz cinnamon syrup, 1/2 barspoon pomegranate molasses, 1 coin sized slice of ginger, 1/8 tsp garam masala, 1 oz orange juice, 1 oz grapefruit juice, 3d Fee’s whisky-barrel-aged bitters, shake w/ ice/strain over ice & float pimento dram.
Novaran Narwhal [AKA Gom Jabbar]: 1 oz Kraken, 1 oz Campari, 1 oz Lillet, 1 dash Zirbenz, orange twist.
Pickle Banger: Pickleback (shot of whiskey with a pickle juice chaser) with a Galliano chaser.
