TDN: Orange – Vote for the best drink!

The Thursday Drink Night theme last week (well, 3/18)  was Orange. Fruit,  liqueurs and bitters – anything orange was fair game. The prize for the tastiest cocktail (as decided by this poll) is a bottle of Scrappy’s orange bitters from CocktailKingdom.com!

This week (that is 4/1, uh oh) the theme is Casa Noble Tequila!

Bloody Viking: 1 oz Old Tom Gin, 1/2 oz aquavit, 1/2 oz Solerno, 3/4 oz blood orange juice, 3/4 oz lime juice, 1 egg white, 2d Angostura bitters, 3d orange bitters. Shake, strain, salt rim.

Pinche Anaranjado: 1 1/4 oz silver tequila, 3/4 oz mezcal, 3/4 oz yellow Chartreuse, 1/2 oz Grand Marnier, 0.6 oz (!) orange juice. Shake/strain over ice. 2d Regans’ orange bitters on top.

Nonino’s Punch: 1 1/2 oz Nonino grappa, 1 oz Cointreau, 1 oz lime juice, 1/4 oz simple, 1 dash Xocolatl bitters

SunnySide: 1 oz Smith&Cross rum, 1 oz Cruzan aged white rum, 3/4 oz Grand Marnier,1/4 oz raspberry syrup, 1/4 oz cinnamon syrup, 1/4 oz orgeat, 3/4 oz lemon juice, 2d Bitter Truth aromatic bitters, 1d Bitter Truth orange bitters; shake, strain over crushed ice, lemon twist.

La Bandita de las Naranjas: 2 oz reposado tequila, 1/2 oz Cointreau, 3/4 oz creme de cacao, 1d Angostura orange bitters, 1d Regans’ orange bitters. Stir, strain, up. Aperol rinse.

The Upstairs Neighbor: 1 1/2 oz Jacquin Orange Flavored Gin, 3/4 oz Campari, 1/2 oz lemon juice, 1/4 oz orange juice, shake, strain.

Millstone: 1 1/2 oz bourbon, 3/4 oz Combier, 1/4 oz sloe gin, 1/4 oz lime juice. Build/rocks/cubes. Club soda, stir, cherry.

Peniques: 1 1/2 oz reposado tequila, 3/4 oz orange juice, 3/4 oz Ramazzotti, 1 barspoon cinnamon syrup, 1 dash orange bitters. Shake/strain cocktail glass, orange twist.
