		<description>For wooden mallets, check hardware stores for woodworking mallets (they use them for chisels), and antique stores might have some vintage ones.  Meat tenderizers will also work and apparently smashing the ice with a wood muddler will do.</description>

		<description>Very interesting post. I would like to have one of those huge wooden mallets. For now i have a manual ice crusher, these break down in 6 months here but they are also cheap. But its tiring to use when you want to make several drinks with crushed ice. I really would like a freezer with icemaker but as i live in a rented apartment you are not allowed to install anthing like that even if you could afford it.</description>
