TDN: Mount Gay XO, Vote Now!

In order to form a more perfect union and ensure that an event such as TDN, of the drinker, by the drinker, and for the drinker shall not perish from this earth, we have decided the winner of each week’s TDN shall be selected by YOU.

A huge thank you to Chester Browne, brand ambassador of the BEST RUM IN THE WORLD©, and to Jim Romdall and the gang at Vessel for hosting another lively and friendly event. It was great fun, Jim and Vessel were as hospitable as could be, and Chester Browne was an incredibly enjoyable guest. The following drinks have been nominated for consideration as the best of last night’s TDN: Mount Gay XO. Your worthy contestants are:

Chet Baker

• 2 oz Mount Gay Extra Old
• .25 oz Punt e Mes
• .25 oz Honey syrup
• 2 dash Bitter Truth Aromatic Bitters

Stir and serve on the rocks.

Bridgetown Sling

• 2oz Mount Gay Extra Old
• .5oz Falernum
• 1.25oz Pineapple juice
• .5oz Cherry brandy
• .25oz Pimento dram
• 2 dashes Bitter Truth Aromatic Bitters

Shake and strain into a collins glass and top with club soda. Garnish with a lime twist.

Prime Minister

• 1.5 oz Mount Gay Extra Old
• 0.75 oz Lillet blanc
• 0.5 oz Cherry Heering
• 2 dashes bitters

Stir and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Milanese Sailor

• 1.5oz Mount Gay Extra Old
• .75oz Ramazzotti Amaro
• .25oz Falernum
• .25oz Creme de Cacao

Stir and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Mine

• 1.5oz Mount Gay Extra Old
• .5oz Pommeau de Normandie
• .5oz Domain de Canton
• .5oz Lime juice
• 1 dash simple syrup

Shake and strain into a cocktail glass.

Rikki Tiki Tavi

• 3oz Mount Gay Extra Old
• .5oz Orgeat
• .75oz Grapefruit juice
• .75oz Cognac
• .75oz Lime juice
• .25oz simple syrup

Flash blend all ingredients with 1c ice.
