TDN: Long Island Iced Tea Poll – Vote Now!

In order to form a more perfect union and ensure that an event such as TDN, of the drinker, by the drinker, and for the drinker shall not perish from this earth, we have decided the winner of each week’s TDN shall be selected by YOU.

The following drinks have been nominated for consideration as the best of last night’s TDN: Long Island. Your contestants are:

Donn’s Island

• 1oz Cruzan Dark
• 1oz White Martinique (Premiere Canne used)
• 1oz 10 Cane (or Oronoco)
• 1oz J. Wray & Nephew Overproof
• Juice of 1 lime
• Juice of 1/2 lemon
• 1oz Don’s Mix (2:1 Grapefuit juice:cinnamon syrup)
• 1d Angostura bitters

Shake all with crushed ice, pour into tall glass, and top with soda water

Long Island Punch

• 1oz Bourbon
• 1oz Appleton Extra
• 1/4oz Absinthe
• 1/2oz Lime juice
• 1/2oz Simple syrup
• 1/4t Grenadine
• 1/2oz Orgeat
• 1.5oz Root beer

Shake all except root beer with crushed ice and pour into a tall glass. Add root beer to top.

Calm River

• 1.5oz Bourbon
• 1oz Brandy
• 1/2oz Aperol
• 1/2oz Lemon juice
• 1/2oz Cinnamon syrup
• 1d Angostura orange bitters
• Ting

Shake all and strain. Top with Ting and garnish with an orange or lemon twist.

Soul Harvester

• 1oz Scotch (used Laphroaig)
• 1oz Applejack
• 1oz Triple Sec
• 1oz Lemon juice

Shake and strain, garnish with a lemon twist.
